Barefoot Wonder

T Bruce Bowers/violins

Ric Gillman/guitars

I know, I know, I know, two old farts playing fiddle and guitar want to come play at YOUR club, concert series, or festival.

“Scheeez”, you say, “get real guys, I’ve seen it a million times over, why should I book you”?

Funny you should ask, because that’s exactly what I’m here to do….tell you why you really want to book Barefoot Wonder.

First of all, we play great music. Ric and I have been at our instruments for almost a century between the two of us, and it shows in every note we play. But, it’s more than just your standard acoustic fiddle and guitar doing traditional tunes. We do some of that, but our specialty is exploring popular music from the 1920’s through the 1990’s, from “Take me out to the Ballgame”, to a medley of “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin, and a spoof of Charlie Daniel’s “Devil went down to Georgia” that we call “The Devil Comes Back”. We also do quite a few of our own tunes (take a listen to “Cello Dreams”)

Second, we have been making our livings on stage since the 1970’s. We know how to tailor our show for every audience. We never fail to make a connection, have fun, and move people. Believe it or not, we get standing ovations and encores even in backwoods Midwestern bars. Heck, they even invited us back to the punk rock club we stumbled into one night. Not just clubs either, we have played for numerous festivals in the Midwest, and always get a great crowd response.

Here’s a candid look at us from the Folk Alliance Midwest showcase this year:

AND…third, money, filthy lucre, business, OH my! We get it, we been around the block, we understand we are new to the touring circuit, and we won’t have the biggest draw in town. So, let’s work together to make things grow and thrive. We’ve got to make our nut too, but we will work with you to get the people out, and make it a win/win deal. So, call write, send us a smoke signal. We’ll be in touch.

And.. in case you missed it, here are six of our latest recordings:

Here’s how to reach us, we’d love to hear from you.
